While I was still in High school, I was invited to a rodeo, where I first got the desire to ride bulls. After learning some of the fundamentals and putting them to practice, I joined the United States Army and became a member of the rodeo team in Baughmholder Germany, as a member of the ERCA (Europian Rodeo Cowboys Association). From there I wanted to try professional Rodeo and my thoughts said if your a singer you have to go to Nashville, but if you want to ride bulls, go to Texas.
I'll never forget the first ime I met Aaron Sanders at Ft. Hood Texas when he turned to me and said "You are not here to ride bulls, your here to recieve jesus Christ as your personal Savior. I doubled over and fell back into a chair that just happened to be right behind me. The scriptures say that the word of God is like a two edged sword cutting deep into the bone and marrow. That is how it felt that day. For the first time and from that day forward, instead of drinking alcohol and partying after the rodeo shows we were driving and reading Gods word as Aaron continued to disciple me.
On march 27, 2000 I stood up to recieve Jesus Christ as my personal Savior at Belton County Cowboy Church, in Belton Texas. It was the best decision I have ever made. Though life isn't easier, it's great knowing I have a savior and a friend who always sees me through my toughest times and laughs with me during my best ones.
